Can you build on a lot I already own?

Yes. We look at the survey, the soil and the septic or sewer situation first, because those three decide what the house can be and where on the lot it can sit.

Do you work from my architect's plans?

Yes. If you have a set we build from it. If you do not, we bring in an architect and a structural engineer and start from a conversation about how you want to live in the house.

Do I need architectural plans before I call you?

No. If you already have drawings we will work from them. If you do not, we can bring in an architect and a structural engineer and start from a conversation about what you want.

Do you handle permits and inspections?

Yes. We pull the permits and schedule the inspections as part of the job, and we tell you where the project stands at each sign off.

What new home construction involves

We build custom homes in Monroe and across Fairfield County, from the foundation to the last coat of paint. Most new home work starts one of two ways. Either you already have an architect and a set of drawings, or you have a lot and an idea and need someone to bring the drawings, the structural engineering and the survey work together. We can do either.

Once the plans are approved and the permit is pulled, the whole build runs through us. Excavation, foundation, framing, roofing, windows, mechanical rough ins, insulation, drywall, trim, cabinetry, tile and finish carpentry are all scheduled by one company, so no trade is standing around waiting on another one to show up. We are registered in Connecticut as a New Home Construction Contractor and we are insured on every job. You get a written schedule before the first delivery lands on site, and you hear from us when something on it moves.
